For the Fourth of July we traveled over to the town of Payson and went up to THAT Brewery as well as Tonto Natural Bridge. Payson is a cute town in Arizona that we haven’t spent much time in. We usually just drive through going on down to Phoenix. We hiked down to see the Natural Bridge and my calves are still killing me from the hike, but that’s another story! And I’m just a whimp.
Going up to Tonto Natural Bridge, it was about a two and a half hour drive from where we live. My dad is in town from Ohio so we met up there to spend the day together! We don’t get to see him often, so this was special!
We had lunch at THAT Brewery and it was great! Service was…eh….BUT! FRIED PICKLES, Y’ALL! Anyone else completely obsessed with fried pickles?! The beer was great. Company was better. All around great stop! They have a location in Pine, AZ and Cottonwood, AZ.
We headed down to Tonto Natural Bridge afterwards. We had never been there, surprisingly. We are trying to be better about exploring Arizona because honestly, we suck. Also, when they say “steep and strenuous” for the hike, please believe them. LOL. But the hike was worth the views. This is surely a place we will go back to!
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! Have you ever been to Tonto Natural Bridge before?!
